At the heart of saveenergyonline's proposal is the installation of an energy management system called SeaChange.

Manufactured by our sister company, ENER·G Controls, the system is well proven having been installed in over 2000 buildings throughout the UK and Europe. Unlike many of our competitors, the SeaChange system is a true building energy management system (BEMS) designed to suit any application from a house to a hotel, hospital or factory. It will control all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning as well as lighting and compressed air systems.

saveenergyonline systems are applied to all building services plant on your site. This means that not only are warm air and radiant heaters efficiently controlled, but also boilers, hot water systems and air conditioning. Additionally, the technology on which the system is based allows full on-site and remote monitoring via a PC.

Distributed modular intelligence

The SeaChange system is made up of pre-programmed application specific control modules. Just like building blocks these modules are built together to form a complete system for your building. Each module or controller can be distributed around a site to suit the distribution of the plant - after all, warm air heaters are never in one place so why should the controls be. Modules are housed in enclosures and linked together by a data network. This network allows each module to communicate with each other and the central PC or remote monitoring system. While normally the network is run on dedicated cable, occasionally we piggy-back on your site's IT network, although this is never done without your prior permission.

Energy efficient by design, all SeaChange modules are capable of optimum start and stop, outside air temperature compensation, proportional burner control and 'exception day' timelock settings to account for any out of the ordinary shift requirements.

Intelligent control at your fingertips

Our PC software, provided with every system, brings control to your desk, or even your home. This easy-to-use tool is simply loaded on to an existing PC. It displays a floor plan of your site on to which we place live space temperatures, associated setpoints, door status and other parameters.

The exact layout and information provided can be designed to suit your needs and can be altered very easily using drag and drop type process.

Click on a space temperature and see a graph showing the last 24 hours temperature levels in that area or review historic data over a period of your choice. Click on the temperature setpoint and raise or lower it.

Click on the Times button and modify the occupancy times for that area - to avoid costly mistakes make use of the 'today', 'tomorrow' and 'holiday' settings designed to allow you maximum flexibility without affecting normal daily operations.
